Homan Opera is sometimes called "Yu4ju4". Yu4 is the ancient
name for Honan province. It's also known as Pangtze opera.
It has several special characteristics that set it apart from
other opera forms, including the well-known Peking Opera.
Its speech maintains Homan local accent and its costumes
has the local Honan flavor.
Homan Opera is called Honan Pangtze. This variety of Chinese opera
is known for its use of wooden block to accompany the opera's
orchestra.

hsingfu tiao, eastern-homan tiao, western-honan tiao.
The more eastern style, close to Shangtung province
tend to be more lively and worked up, with greater
reliance on falsetto voices. The western singing style
of Honan Opera, influenced by neighboring Shangshi
province, tends to be more subdued and melancholy, with
the singing done in a normal rather than falsetto
voice, giving a more natural and genuine feel.
The orchestra of Honan opera is consisted of So-na,
reed organ, flute, Hu-chin, Pipa, drum, Lo, Pan, bangtze, etc.
