Peking Opera Story 1
Wild Boar Forest ( ye3 zhu1 lin2 ) is a story based on the classical Chinese novel 《mu4 hu3 chuan》 "All Mem are Brothers" by Shi1nai4an1. Toward the end of the Song dynasty (AD. 960-1279), the son of Gao1qiu2, a local official, takes a fancy to the wife of Lin2chong, an army officer. He enlists the help of Liu4qian1, a friend of Lin2chong's, to get rid of Lin2chong so he can be fereeto pursue Lin2chong's wife. He has Lin2chong framed and sent to a prison in distant Cang1zhou1. Lin2chong's escorts are also instructed to do away with Lin2 in the Wild Boar Forest on the way. Lin2's sworn brother, the ostensible monk Lu3zhi4shen1, trails Lin2 on his way and ensures that Lin2 arrives in Cang1zhou1 safely. Liu4qian1 attempts to murder Lin2 a second time after their arrival in Cang1zhou1. When Lin2 receives news that his wife has commited suicide to avoid being violated by Gao1qiu2's son, he rises up in anger, slays Liu4qian1 and his cohorts, them flees to Liangshan1bo2, which is the encampment of the fugitive heros ( like Robinhood)。
