| Romance of the Chest In the Sung Dynasty the courageous General Yue Fei is schemed to death by the evil prime minister Qin Kwei. Yuds oldest son, Yue Lei, guards his family to safety but is himself isolated and chased after. Yue Lei sneaks into Miss Liu's Home and is allowed to hide inside the family chest after explaining to the young girl his predicament. Liu's brother comes home to look for something in the chest and finds Yue whom he takes as his sister's secret lover. Amid their dispute Liu's mother returns home to sort ou t the truth. She offers Yue a safe haven and a marriage with her daughter. |
