The Lion Bridge Tarven
| The Lion Bridge Tavern Constable Wu Song, the tiger-killer, discovers that his older brother is poisoned and murdered by Ximen Qing who has an adulterous affair with the elder's wife. Wu complains to the local magistrate who is bribed by Ximen Qing and rebukes Wu instead. In a rage Wu charges the Lion Bridge Tavern where Ximen is enter-taining and kills Ximen to avenge his brother. (He also kills his sister-in-law earlier at home by his brother's altar-table after she confesses the crime before witnesses.) |
