Yijing Translation
Xiang4:this term is very important in yijing reading. xiang is
sort of elephant.
is a strange animal which even Confucius could not name. Modern
Chinese used the word to translate English word "symbolism" but
xiang4 is more than just symbolism. It is a conduct of meaning.
More often it is understood as a metaphor. There are many categories
of Xiang4, the same as the are many categories of metaphors.
1. qian2 / Xiang4:money, dry, spread thin, coin, male, heaven,
strong metal

The Judgement
Six straight lines form a strong durability which is in danger.
It is therefore in a better position to correct and improve.
The Xiang4
Heaven is moving in strong force. It makes change absolutely
necessary
The Lines
Nine at the beginning means:
Hidden dragon, it is not a real dragon. Therefore, it must
not be used to perform correction.
Nine in the second place means:
You see ghosts in the field.
It is high time for you to get rid of bad luck.
Nine in the third place means:
All day long the shaman is too tight to work.
At nightfall he is still on guard, so bad omen is
strong but pending no danger
Nine in the fourth place means:
Wavering flight over the depths.
No blame.
() Nine in the fifth place means:
Flying dragon in the heavens.
It is time to reveal the ghost.
(Many people translate as Big Man which actually is ghost)
Nine at the top means:
An overbearing dragon will turn.
(Dragon is not dragon. But the instrument which the
Shaman used to get rid of the ghost
When all the lines are nines, it means:
There appears a flight of dragons without heads.
The lost souls find their way back.
